Capacity is what your nervous system has available in that moment.
It influences your ability to think clearly, stay patient, regulate emotions, make decisions, learn, connect with others, and recover from challenges. Capacity isn't fixed—it rises and falls as conditions change.
Together, state, load, and capacity can help explain why the same person may respond differently from one day to the next.
